Plus, there are 14 incredible ski trails to choose from that cater to all skill levels. That way, whether you’re a beginner or a pro, you’ll be able to find a trail that is best suited to you. 2. Back Country Skiing
For a one-of-a-kind Northern California ski experience, we highly recommend Mount Shasta Ski Park’s backcountry skiing service known as Beyond the Boundaries. This guided adventure allows you to venture into one of the most incredible backcountry areas in the Northwest. From the resort, your guide will lead you and your family to the charming backcountry cabin on Grey Butte. Here, you’ll enjoy a warm fire around a wood stove, hot tea, and lovely views from 7,400 feet. After warming up, head to the top of the mountain for even more awe-inspiring views and then pick the slope you’d like to ride down. It’s an excursion you’ll be talking about for years to come.
Reservations for this experience must be made in advance and guides can accommodate up to six guests at a time.
3. Terrain Parks
If you’re interested in learning a new trick or challenging yourself, a visit to one of Mount Shasta Ski Park’s terrain parks is in order! The Revolution Terrain Park is meant for more advanced skiers and features a rail garden packed with rails, boxes, and bonks to hit. The Silver Tip Terrain Park is more suited to beginners and includes a series of small rails, boxes and smaller snow feature table tops and roller hits.
Both terrain parks can be accessed from the Marmont Ski Lift.
4. Snow Tubing
The Mount Shasta Tubing Hill is a blast for visitors of all ages! The park is home to a beautifully groomed 300-foot long tubing hill with side-by-side lanes. That way, you and your friends can race down the hill together. We guarantee you’ll want to slide down again and again!
5. Mountain Biking
Even after the snow has melted away, there is still plenty of fun to be had in the Mount Shasta Board and Ski Park. Mountain biking is a popular outdoor activity during the warmer months, and you’ll find several exciting trails to tame as you ride down the mountain.
6. Disc Golf
Also offered during the warmer months, Mt. Shasta Ski Park disc golf is an absolute must! One of the west coast’s most challenging 18-hole disc golf courses can be found here, and there’s also a 6-hole beginner’s course.
