The Mt. Shasta Farmers Market was founded in 1999 by local farmers and has quickly grown to become the most visited market in the county! Both locals and tourists alike flock to the annual market to shop for some of the finest locally-made products including fresh produce, all-natural herbs, handcrafted coffee, homemade jams, and more.

As you browse through more than 30 vendors, you’ll also be entertained by live music performances from local bands and learn more about our region’s agriculture.

2. Mt. Shasta Blackberry Festival (September)

Each Labor Day weekend, Shasta County hosts the annual Blackberry Festival and welcomes hundreds of attendees. In fact, this event has become an end-of-the-summer staple in our region!

Several local and regional artists will play some of their best tunes for you as you and your loved ones indulge in blackberry-flavored treats, taste unique beers and wines, play family games in the park, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

3. Return of the Salmon Festival (October)

On the third Saturday in October, the Return of the Salmon Festival celebrates the popular freshwater fish at the Coleman National Fish Hatchery. Thousands of people attend this event every year to view the Chinook salmon returning to Battle Creek.

This is also a great opportunity to learn about day-to-day hatchery operations, explore vendors and booths, and learn more about the history and habitat requirements of the Chinook salmon.

4. Roses and Rust Vintage Market (April and November)

Recognized as one of the “Top 10 Vintage Markets” by Romantic Homes Magazine, the Roses and Rust Vintage Market is the perfect place to shop for fun and unique home decor items from over 100 talented vendors.
