Each Labor Day weekend, Mount Shasta comes alive with activity and celebrations centered around music and the blackberry. The event is also known as the Blackberry Music Festival and brings together several local and regional artists for a full weekend of great tunes and food. While admission to the event is free, proceeds collected at the event will go towards projects and organizations supported by the Mount Shasta Rotary Club. Shasta Blackberry Festival include the Shasta Disabled Sports Program, Senior Nutrition, and Save the Rain Water Projects in Africa.
